YA Wednesday: Summer Reading Lists, Alternatives to Harry Potter, A Clueless Booklist, and a YA Character Generator

ShaileneSummer’s almost over. Soon it will be time to get out of vacation-mode at work, or even worse, go back to school. But before you bawl your eyes out, there are still a few days left to catch some rays and catch up on summer reading.

Back in the day, summer reading lists were full of long, door-stopper books, because why let a kid actually enjoy the summer. If you procrastinated, like us, you ended up spending the last week of August racing through all 800 pages of David Copperfield. It was the perfect way to ruin the end of summer and a good book. But there are tons of great summer reading lists that weren’t compiled by an English teacher set on making you miserable, and we’d like to share a few with you.
